COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course covers in-depth studies of anatomy, physiology and pathology together with advanced techniques of manipulation for the treatment of a wide-range of musculo-skeletal disorders.
It involves 20 days of tuition and practical experience with written and practical assignments and is generally held one weekend per month between September and July.
Students also have a log book to complete with records of
treatments they have conducted. COURSE CONTENT:

Part 4 = The Shoulder Joint
Part 5 = The Wrist and Elbow
Part 6 = The Thoracic Spine
Part 7 = The Lumbar Spine and Pelvis
Part 8 = The Hip Joint
Part 9 = The Knee Joint
Part 10 = Feet and Ankles

ASSESSMENT:
- Students are required to attend 75% of the seminars
- Students are required to complete all research assignments
- Two 2.5 hour papers, one in Anatomy and Physiology and the other covering Consultation, Examination and Treatment, constitute the written assessment which requires a passing grade of 65%.
- There is also a practical exam, in which an overall grade of 75% is required
- A Credit is awarded to those who achieve 75% or more in the written papers
- A Distinction is awarded for a grade of 85% or over in the written
papers
QUALIFICATION:
The Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Therapy is awarded to successful candidates, who are then entitled to use
Adv Dip MT (MSM) after their name and apply for full membership of
the NAMMT.
FEES:
Total course cost = £1550. This includes an initial enrolment fee of £120, which is waived for students already engaged on the Diploma in Remedial Massage. There is also an examination fee of £130. Payment can be made by monthly standing order.
Students may make payment in full at the commencement of the course
by cheque or credit card. Payment by credit card incurs a 5% charge.
Fees are non-refundable in the event of non-attendance but in certain circumstances a student may have their course temporarily suspended. Fees are subject to revision at any time except for students already enrolled. Enrolment is deemed to have lapsed after 12 months of non-attendance.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Either, completion of the Remedial Massage Diploma Course or completion of a course of similar status. A basic course in massage would not be an adequate preparation unless the person concerned had gained reasonable clinical experience. The school may require evidence, an interview or both to determine this.
